High School Baseball Kanto Next spring, the senbatsu tournament at Koshien will be the 95th-anniversary tournament, so the selection quota for the “general quota” will increase by 4 schools from the usual year, and 36 schools will participate. The number of schools by the district for the general election is Hokkaido 1, Tohoku 3, Kanto / Tokyo 7 (Kanto 5, Tokyo 1, remaining 1), Tokai 3, Hokushinetsu 2, Kinki 6, Chugoku / Shikoku 6 (Chugoku 2, Shikoku 3) , rest 1), Kyushu 4. The remaining school in Kanto/Tokyo and Chugoku/Shikoku will be decided by comparing target schools in both areas.

Of the 4 districts with increased quotas, Tohoku 2 → 3, Kanto 4 → 5, Tokai 2 → 3, and Shikoku 2 → 3 increased by one. Tohoku has increased quotas in accordance with the minimum requirement of allocating one quota per two prefectures, and the other three districts have increased quotas based on the results of the past 10 tournaments, excluding the canceled 2020 tournament.

The 3 schools in the “21st-century frame”, which are targeted at schools that have overcome difficult situations and achieved good results, and 1 frame given to the district that won the Meiji-Jingu Games, are the same as in previous years.

The Senbatsu will start on March 18th next year, and will be held for 14 days, with a rest day on the 2nd, the day after the quarterfinals and semifinals High School Baseball Kanto

The selection committee to decide the participating schools will be held on January 27th next year, and the combination lottery will be held on March 10th.
